How does Tempo work?
Tempo is a multi currency digital wallet based remittance service. This means that apart from allowing you to manage your funds from your smartphone, it also allows for international transfers.
It's easy to start: fund your Tempo wallet, and you’ll be able to make a conversion immediately. Buy and sell
– it’s that simple!
When you want to send money to your family/friends in a different country (Mexico, Italy, Germany, France, Canada, Philippines, Spain, UK, India, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden, Portugal, Austria, and Australia ), with a couple of taps, the funds will be delivered to their local account seamlessly.
What do I need to get started?
You need a US mobile number that is able to receive a text message, then link your tempo account to your US bank account.
Note that there’s only one bank account Tempo is interacting with at any time. This is your primary account. Your funds are coming from, and your withdrawal is going to your primary bank account. You can always change this setting in Side navigation’s Payment Methods item.
How do I send money abroad?
Tempo allows for two ways to transfer money internationally directly from your foreign currency and as a two-part transaction:
1. Directly from your foreign currency balance
When you convert USD to a foreign currency you can use the amount to pay out recipients based in countries using that specific currency.
2. Two-part transaction
If you didn’t convert the amount you want to send to a foreign currency you can still send directly from your USD balance. This will be a slightly longer transaction, in this case you would do it from the "Send" screen.
How do I cancel a transaction?
Tapping on your account icon from the Wallet screen will open side navigation. Tap on Activity, and tap on the transaction you want to cancel. You can cancel it from here by tapping Cancel transaction in the top right corner of your screen.
How many countries/currencies does Tempo support now?
We currently support 17 countries: United States (USD) to Mexico (MXN), India (INR), United Kingdom (GBP), Italy, Germany, France, Spain (Euro), Canada (CAD - Dollar), and the Philippines (Peso). Poland (Złoty), Hungary (Forint), Belgium (Euro), Czech Republic (Koruna), Sweden (Krona), Portugal (Euro), Austria (Euro), and Australia (AUD).
How much can I send ?
You can send up to $3,000 (or equivalent in another currency) per day.
What is the minimum amount I can send?
You can send as low as $20 (or equivalent in another currency) per transaction.
How much can I exchange to foreign currency?
Conversion limit is $3,000 per day.
How much is Tempo charging me?
Tempo charges a $2.99 flat fee per transaction, though it often features promotions to waive the cost entirely.
How long does it take for money to arrive from my bank account to my wallet?
Typically it takes 2 business days (Mon - Fri), but it can take up to 3 business days to fund a balance.
How long does it take for money to arrive in my recipient’s bank account?
It usually takes 1 business day (Mon-Fri). Sometimes the transfer period time may take up to 2 business days.
How long does it take to buy/sell currency on the Tempo wallet?
It happens immediately! When you buy/sell currencies from your Tempo account, your rate will be locked and your currency balance will be there but not able to be used right away. It will take 1 business day (Mon-Fri) to move the funds out or pay out to a local bank account.
How can I track my previous transactions?
You can access your activity screen by tapping “See all” from the activity section on the send screen, or by tapping your username from the top right corner on your Wallet screen, and then choose Activity from the side navigation.
Can I delete my Tempo account?
Yes, but we don’t recommend deleting your account. All your information will be erased, which makes coming back all the harder in case you change your mind.
You can delete your Tempo account by tapping on your account icon in the top left corner of your screen, and then settings in the side navigation. At the bottom of the screen you will see an option to delete your account.

Can I use the same phone number when opening my second account?
If you already have an account in use, you cannot open a new account with Tempo. If you’ve deleted your account, but have changed your mind in the meantime and want to use Tempo again, you can use the same phone number.
How do I contact Tempo?
You can tap on the support tab at the bottom of your Home screen. This will open up a chat window where you will be assisted by our support staff.
